2学期の取り組み② ー授業内で扱った歌

2学期もよく歌を扱いました。

高1担当者３人で選んでいるので、私が選んだのは1曲。

これからご紹介するものの3曲目、Bad Dayです。

前の学年で試したときに、すごくみんなが気に入ってくれたので、鉄板曲ということで。

2学期は5曲。星の数は3点満点で生徒たちの反応の良さを表しています（男子校、高1）。ご参考まで。

1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jamiroquai Bee Gees Mashup - Pomplamoose

だいぶ渋い選曲だけど、これは人気でした。ここからジャミロクワイの原曲にも触れ、あの有名なPVも見せました。

2 ⭐️⭐️

Phillip Phillips - Gone, Gone, Gone

この曲が生徒たち的にそれほど人気を集めなかったのは、サビのメロディーの不恰好さかなと。良い曲ですけどね。

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Daniel Powter - Bad Day (Official Music Video)

これは鉄板。ちょっと歌詞がよくわからないところがあり、気持ち悪い気がするのが気になりますかね。冒頭の

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion’s gone away
And I don’t need no carryin’ on

の部分も実は難解ですよね。最初の行の"the most"は名詞？とか。

生徒は予想どおりノリノリでした。

Jonas Blue - Rise (Lyrics) ft. Jack & Jack

これは歌詞が良かったんじゃないかな、と思います。

They think we just drop outs

この青春感ですかね。

個人的には大好きだけど、こういう歌詞には生徒たちは気持ちをのせにくいのかもしれません。

Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet

And you'll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

素敵ですけどね。
